This website was created to share the extensive knowledge acquired by Alex Mageau from Haileybury, part of Temiskaming Shores Ontario.  Not too many years ago, growing grapes in this part of Ontario was not possible due to the severe climate.  It seems like the climate has changed over the past few decades and Alex has successfully grown grapes in his yard for more than 35 years.  He has had numerous people interested in starting their own small vineyards and Alex is always happy to help them get started.  This website aims to be a resource for local grape enthusiasts  by providing  valuable insights and expertise.  Alex also hopes foster a community dedicated to the art of growing grapes.
